Mac Motorcycles

The Brief:

  • Simple to maintain.
  • Nothing surplus-to-requirements.
  • Chopper and bobber references/details.
  • The lines of a rigid frame but with suspension.
  • Use a Buell 'Blast' motor and exploit its shape.
  • Harley posture, flat-tracker manners, Ducati handling.
  • Exploit the power-to-weight ratio of a 500cc single in a lightweight chassis.
  • A return to the spirit of motorcycling - the journey is the experience / story.
Here goes the results. The creations from Mac Motorcycle are some gorgeous minimalist bikes with a little retro feel to it.

Streetfighter!

A streetfighter is a customized sport bike with the removal of the fairing for a lighter and more aggressive look. It was made popular by European riders in the 80s, and now all over the world. It also affected the motorcycle manufacturers with factory built street fighters.
I like the industrial and nakedness of a streetfighter. If you read about my Photoshop Custom post, that's a streefighter/bobber hybrid bike I like.

Photoshop Custom - Ducati Bobber

This time, I'm not doing it base on a real bike but from this already beautiful render by Luca from Bar-Design. It was a Ducati Vyper for Asphalt & Rubber.
I've lower the bike and change the seat to a solo seat and also change the headlight into a vertical dual headlight with a little modification on details.

This is the original by Luca.

Stock Bike Sucks?

We all like custom bike, but there are a few cool bike out there that I love which I'll ride it stock if I had one.

Description taken from their website.
"The Hellcat Combat is presented as a limited edition variant of the second and final generation of the Hellcat series. The Combat features a design specific hand ported and polished head design, special camshaft grind, returned intake system, which harmoniously result in a 12% gain in rear wheel horsepower and a 4% increase in rear wheel torque. Front and rear camshaft compression and rebound suspension rates are recalculated for superior handling, more detailed feedback and increased ride control.
A new sport seat and Combat specific finish completes the machine. The result is an exotic balance of power and beauty. A discreet "Combat" insignia is engraved on the outer primary machined aircraft-grade aluminun plate."

The 2nd one is BMW Lorider, too bad it's a concept.
